Karen Jenson

Karen has over 20 years experience in the arts and finance industries. With her education and work experience she has witnessed the converging relationship between both worlds. Always fascinated by how they oppose and yet mirror one another, the “Financialization” of art is her area of expertise.

The allure of opposites is rooted in her studies at Northwestern which focused on contemporary and ancient art. Karen has since worked in public and private roles in the arts at the Carnegie Art Center and AKG in Buffalo, NY, the Lehman Maupin Gallery in NYC, and Groundswell mural arts in Brooklyn. Her corporate experience in finance, post-MBA, brought her to various commercial banks in New York City where she found balance helping family businesses navigate their lending needs to spur growth. Whether bringing an arts non-profit to profitability, demystifying art as an alternative and robust asset, or enabling capital growth and private equity opportunities for a family-run business, Karen is dedicated to service leadership with her clients.
